Zharkov Vasily Anatolievich

Zharkov Vasily Anatolievich, born on August 28, 2000, citizen of the Russian Federation, resident of the city of Ozyory, Moscow Oblast, worked as a manager at DNS Retail LLC.

On December 16, 2024, he was sentenced under Part 1 of Art. 30, Part 1 of Art. 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation to commit sabotage — actions aimed at destroying or damaging communications equipment, if these actions are committed with the aim of undermining the economic security and (or) defence capability of the Russian Federation"), Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason — espionage committed by a citizen of the Russian Federation") and Part 2 of Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation") to 19 years of imprisonment, with the first 3 years to be served in prison, the rest of the term — in a strict regime colony with restriction of freedom for 1 year after release.
