Berianidze Nikolos Georgievich, born June 28, 1984, citizen of Georgia, resident of Mariupol (Ukraine), serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, prisoner of war.
On January 27, 2025, he was sentenced under Part 3 of Art. 359 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation of a mercenary in an armed conflict or military operations") and Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Encroachment on the life of a serviceman in order to obstruct his lawful activities to ensure public safety") to life imprisonment in a special regime penal colony. On May 13, 2025, the appellate court overturned the sentence and handed down a new guilty verdict, the content of which is unknown to us.
He was taken prisoner on May 20, 2022.
