Vladyslav Yesiuk is a citizen of Ukraine and a senior sergeant in the Azov Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He is held in captivity, reportedly since 17 May 2022.
On 13 January 2026, Yesiuk's case was referred to the Southern District Military Court. On 6 April 2026, Judge Maksim Borsuk found Yesiuk guilty under Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Participation in a terrorist community') and Article 205.3 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activity') and sentenced him to an undisclosed term of imprisonment.
On 4 August 2026, the Military Court of Appeal upheld the sentence.
