Danil Fakhreev, a young resident of Bashkortostan, was sent to a pre-trial detention center — and subsequently sentenced to 4 years in a general-regime penal colony — for posting three videos in a Telegram channel chat. The videos featured text in Ukrainian urging people to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), specifically the Third Assault Brigade. Fakhreev was charged with making public calls online for activities directed against state security, motivated by political hatred.
