Gribov Roman Vitalievich
Roman Gribov is a sales manager from Kostroma. In July 2025, he was detained by FSB officers. According to Gribov, he was beaten and tortured with electric shocks, demanding that he unlock his phone. His family saw signs of beatings when Roman was brought in for a search, and they were later recorded during a medical examination, but a criminal investigation into the torture was refused. Although Gribov was initially suspected of treason, he was convicted of incitement to extremism and terrorism. The charges stemmed from two comments under news stories on Telegram channels. Gribov allegedly made a sarcastic remark about a Russian politician's proposal to stage a "demonstration nuclear explosion" and made negative comments about prisoners recruited by the Wagner PMC. Roman Gribov denies authoring the comments. The court sentenced him to six years in prison on April 1, 2026. The next day, Roman Gribov's older brother, Alexey, was detained and placed under arrest; details of the charges are unknown.
