Artem Hryhorenko is a Ukrainian citizen and a serviceman of the Azov Special Operations Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was presumably captured in Mariupol on 17 May 2022.

On 19 March 2026, Hryhorenko was added to the Russian Federal Financial Monitoring Service's so-called list of extremists and terrorists.

On 21 May 2026, Hryhorenko's case was transferred to the Southern District Military Court. On 10 June 2026, Judge Mukhamed Khasanbievich Kilyarov found Artem Hryhorenko guilty under Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Participation in the activities of a terrorist community') and Article 205.3 ('Training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities') and sentenced him to an unknown term of imprisonment.

On 29 September 2026, the Military Court of Appeal upheld the sentence.
