Maksim Grigoriev is a radio engineering entrepreneur. He lived in China and flew to Moscow to renew his documents. Correspondence with a representative of the Freedom of Russia Legion was found on his phone, and he was sent to pretrial detention no later than July 19, 2024. Grigoriev was accused of participating in an armed group not provided for by federal law, for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation, and of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. According to investigators, Grigoriev passed information about security forces to the Freedom of Russia Legion and also attempted to organize the development of software for drones. The court sentenced Grigoriev to 13 years of imprisonment.
