Guseva Elena Valentinovna, born on June 30, 1970, resident of the city of Berezniki in the Perm Krai, mother of three children, athlete, and civic activist. In 2013, she swam across the Bering Strait and was listed in the Guinness World Records.

On 29 January 2026, she was convicted under Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Russian Criminal Code (“Financing extremist activity”) over donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) and sentenced to a fine of 300,000 rubles.

She was detained on August 27, 2025, and taken into custody the following day. On October 14, 2025, she was placed under house arrest. After the verdict, she was released under a travel ban.
