Ilnur Khazhiev was born on 31 May 1982. He is a resident of the village of Semyonovo, Baymaksky District, Republic of Bashkortostan. He is married and has five minor children, one of whom has a disability.
On 5 May 2025, he was convicted under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Participation in mass riots accompanied by violence, the use of objects posing a danger to others, or armed resistance to a government official') and Part 1 of Article 318 ('Use of violence not dangerous to life or health, or the threat of violence against a government official or their relatives in connection with the performance of their official duties') and sentenced to 5 years' imprisonment in a general-regime penal colony.
On 22 April 2026, the court replaced the unserved portion of his prison sentence with compulsory labour for 2 years and 8 days.
He had been deprived of his liberty since 23 January 2024.
