Islamov Insaf Gizzatullovich, born on July 15, 1989, lived in the city of Apatity, Murmansk Region, a Russian citizen, married, father of two young children, and worked as a bus driver. In September 2025, he was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in a general-regime penal colony under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Russian Criminal Code (‘Participation in mass riots accompanied by violence, use of objects dangerous to others, as well as armed resistance to a law enforcement officer’) and Part 1 of Article 318 of the Russian Criminal Code (‘Use of violence not dangerous to life or health, or threat of violence, against a law enforcement officer or their relatives in connection with the performance of official duties’). He has been in custody since February 6, 2024.
