Kalashnikov Gennady Sergeevich

Kalashnikov Gennady Sergeevich, born on May 2, 1980, in the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine, is a resident of Vorkuta, Komi Republic, and a Russian citizen. He holds a higher education degree and works as a senior legal counsel at the housing and utilities management company “Impulse.” He is married and has two adult children. On May 22, 2025, he was convicted under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (“Assisting terrorist activities”), Part 2 of Article 205.2 (“Public justification of terrorism committed via the Internet”), and Part 2 of Article 280 (“Public calls for extremist activity committed via the Internet”). He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment — the first 3 years to be served in a prison, and the remainder in a high-security penal colony — and fined 400,000 rubles. He has been deprived of liberty since August 18, 2024.
