Olga Komleva is a resident of Ufa, a civic activist, and a journalist with RusNews. For several years, she volunteered at Aleksei Navalny’s Ufa headquarters. After the arrest of the headquarters’ coordinator, Lilia Chanysheva, Komleva led a campaign in support of Chanysheva and reported from her trial.

On 27 March 2024, Olga Komleva was detained and remanded in custody on charges of participating in an extremist community (Article 282.1, Part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code). In July 2024, investigators added charges of disseminating 'false information' about the military (Article 207.3, Part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code). Komleva’s trial was held behind closed doors, and the case materials remain classified. On 29 July 2025, she was sentenced to 12 years in a general-regime penal colony.
