Andrey Kurylev is a radio equipment assembler from St. Petersburg. In 2022-2023, he wrote several comments on Telegram about which military targets Ukraine should attack and about the murder of Z-blogger Tatarsky. Soon after security forces visited Kurylev and held "preventive conversations," he was fired from his job, and he stopped speaking out online. However, a year and a half later, he was sent to pretrial detention for old comments, charged with inciting and justifying terrorism, and subsequently sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment.
