Liptser Aleksei Evgenievich, born December 12, 1986, lived in Moscow, married, has a young child, worked as a lawyer.

On January 17, 2025, under Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in an extremist organisation", liable to up to 6 years' imprisonment) in connection with his participation in an allegedly extremist organisation created by Aleksei Navalny, which, according to investigators, consisted of transmitting information from him from the penal colony, was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

He has been in custody since October 13, 2023.
