Litvinova Ariadna Valeryevna
Ariadna Litvinova, a former police college student, was detained in St. Petersburg on February 24, 2025, for spray-painting anti-war slogans on street structures that promoted the war in Ukraine. She was fined under an administrative statute regarding the "discrediting" of the army and subsequently remanded to a pre-trial detention center on vandalism charges. Later, the restrictive measure imposed on her was changed to a ban on certain activities, allowing her to leave Russia. She was placed on the wanted list, and the charges against her were reclassified to a criminal offense involving the repeated "discrediting" of the Russian Armed Forces. On July 4, 2026, Litvinova was deported from Turkey to Russia, where she was taken into custody. She faces up to 7 years of imprisonment.
