Aitugan Malabaev was born on 26 July 1988. He is a Russian citizen and a resident of the village of Tatlybaevo, Baymaksky District, Republic of Bashkortostan. He has a university degree.
On 7 February 2025, he was convicted under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Participation in mass riots accompanied by violence, the use of objects posing a danger to others, or armed resistance to a government official') and Part 1 of Article 318 ('Use of violence not dangerous to life or health, or the threat of violence against a government official or their relatives in connection with the performance of their official duties') and sentenced to 5 years' imprisonment in a general-regime penal colony.
He had been deprived of his liberty since 23 January 2024.
On 10 July 2026, the court replaced the remaining portion of his sentence with 3 years, 8 months and 24 days of restricted liberty.
