Andrei Maskaev, a resident of Ryazan Oblast, was charged under the article concerning confidential cooperation with foreign nationals. The court ordered him to be held in pre-trial detention.

According to the prosecution, Maskaev established contact via Telegram and WhatsApp with representatives of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and planned to defect to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
