Paderin Pavel Aleksandrovich

Pavel Paderin, a resident of Yekaterinburg, was mobilised in September 2022 to participate in the war against Ukraine. After being mobilised, he tried to challenge the decision of the draft commission in Kamensk-Uralsky, citing health problems, but the courts rejected his claims. In August 2023, Paderin was found guilty under the article on refusing to obey the command.

In February 2026, Paderin was remanded in custody in a case concerning confidential cooperation with foreigners. According to the investigation, in 2025 Paderin corresponded with representatives of the Ukrainian security services and promised to provide information about scientists and research developments. He admitted to having been in contact with them, but said that he did not have access to classified information that could threaten Russia’s security. The court sentenced him to three years in a general-regime penal colony and a fine of 300,000 rubles.
