Petryk Serhiy Mykolayovych
Ukrainian citizen and pediatrician Serhiy Petryk moved from Makeyevka in the Donetsk region to the village of Nikolske, in Ukrainian-controlled territory, after 2014. He continued to work there even after the start of the full-scale invasion, under occupation. Due to his pro-Ukrainian stance and long-standing refusal to accept Russian citizenship, he was repeatedly detained by security services. In 2024, Petryk was arrested by the FSB. Investigators accused him of treason, claiming that in August 2024, the medic cooperated with the SBU and later passed on to the Ukrainian side the coordinates of a Russian military unit, having learned them during a meeting with a serviceman. Petryk himself maintained his innocence. The Supreme Court of the "DPR" sentenced him to 15.5 years in a maximum security penal colony.
