Pichugin Aleksei Vladimirovich

Pichugin Aleksei Vladimirovich, born July 25, 1962, former head of the internal economic security department of the oil company YUKOS. In two sentences, in 2005 and 2007, under Art. 162 ("Robbery"), Art. 105 ("Murder") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he was ultimately sentenced to life imprisonment with serving his sentence in a special regime penal colony. During the investigation and trial, numerous violations were noted, allowing us to assert that Pichugin's guilt was not proven, and the evidence on which the sentences were based was falsified.
In custody since June 19, 2003. Recognized as a political prisoner since the criminal prosecution is carried out in violation of the right to a fair trial.
