Oleg Platonov is a resident of Crimea and the father of a minor child. On 9 April 2025, he was detained in Alupka, where he was on a business trip. On the same day, his wife, Natalia Polyukh, was detained in Sevastopol. Their nine-year-old son was placed in the care of the child protection authorities. It is unknown on what legal grounds the couple have been held for more than a year.
