Aleksandr Snezhkov is a musician, anarchist, and anti-fascist from Chita. In the fall of 2022, 18-year-old Snezhkov was arrested along with 16-year-old Lyubov Lizunova and Vladislav Vishnevskiy for the graffiti "Death to the Regime." Snezhkov was charged with vandalism motivated by political hatred and calls for extremism, and was later also accused of justifying terrorism online for a post about a rail war on an anarchist Telegram channel. On January 12-13, 2023, Snezhkov was sent to pretrial detention. He was sentenced to six years in a general regime penal colony; his sentence was reduced by two months on appeal. A second case was soon opened against Snezhkov for reading the text of the post for which he was convicted to his cellmates. He was found guilty of justifying terrorism and sentenced to five years in prison. On appeal, the sentence was reduced by three months.
