Heorhii Tabuiev, a Donetsk resident, a citizen of Ukraine and Russia, and a volunteer for the Kolos Foundation, was most likely kidnapped on February 28, 2023, and tortured for a month before being formally arrested on criminal charges. Tabuiev was accused of photographing the homes of local officials on behalf of the SBU and then accepting an explosive device from another "agent" for safekeeping. The case is based on Tabuiev's initial confession and other obviously fabricated evidence. He was initially sentenced to 15 years in prison, but his sentence was later slightly reduced on appeal.
