Igor Tyron worked as a history, geography, and social studies teacher in the village of Nivshera in the Kortkeros District of the Komi Republic. He is married and caring for two children: one with a disability and one minor, as well as his elderly mother. Tyron was sent to pretrial detention on charges of justifying terrorism due to several comments supporting the Ukrainian Azov unit. He was subsequently also charged with possession of ammunition due to cartridges belonging to his late father. The court sentenced Igor Tyron to 5 years of imprisonment.
