Uren Oleksandr Oleksandrovych

Oleksandr Uren is a Ukrainian citizen and a serviceman of the Azov Special Operations Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, holding the rank of sergeant. He was presumably captured in Mariupol on 20 May 2022.

No later than 15 September 2026, the Southern District Military Court found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Russian Criminal Code ('Participation in the activities of a terrorist community') and Article 205.3 ('Training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities') and sentenced him to 21 years' imprisonment in a maximum-security penal colony.

According to the prosecution, in August 2020, Uren voluntarily joined Azov, underwent training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities, and took part in hostilities against servicemen of the Russian Federation in the territory of the 'Donetsk People's Republic'.
