Timofeev Vladimir Vladimirovich, born June 23, 1971, lives in Irkutsk. Left-wing activist, leader of the opposition organisation "People's Will". A participant in the Afghan and Chechen wars, for his participation in military operations in Afghanistan he was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the Medal "For Courage". On April 25, 2023, the 1st Eastern District Military Court in Khabarovsk sentenced him to 3 years in a general regime penal colony on charges of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Public justification of terrorism on the Internet) and Part 1 of Article 207.3 (Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). On September 11, 2023, the Appellate Military Court reduced the sentence to 2 years and 8 months.

Deprived of liberty since November 29, 2022; was under house arrest before the verdict, then placed in a pre-trial detention facility, served his sentence.
