A criminal case was opened against Georgieva under the article on online justification of terrorism due to two comments on the Russian Volunteer Corps Telegram channel—one supporting the organization and the other commenting on Crimea's sovereignty. The court sentenced Georgieva to 3 years in a general regime penal colony.
