Oleg Roldugin is a journalist and executive director of Novaya Gazeta, the last editor-in-chief of Sobesednik, which ceased operations in 2024. He was accused of illegally using computer information containing personal data for using bots to gather information for his investigative journalism. The prosecution claims the crime was committed by a group of individuals, which the journalist denies. After his arrest in April 2026, Roldugin was sent to pretrial detention, and on June 2 of that year, he was released under house arrest. Roldugin faces up to 6 years of imprisonment.
