Vitalii Trofymchuk—a disabled child and orphan—lived with his grandmother and uncle in the village of Velyka Belozerka in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine. Vitalii was 15 years old at the time of the occupation; a year later, he was forced to accept Russian citizenship. Before his arrest (likely in August 2025), he worked part-time in a store. He was sent to pretrial detention for several comments containing harsh statements about Russia and Russians. Trofymchuk was sentenced to 5.5 years for incitement to terrorism and extremism.
